"Another word of warning, we will not be supporting Windows RT.
This means that Finale will not run on the Windows RT versions of Surface. So if anyone is looking at one of the cool tablet options for Windows 8, make sure it is running Windows 8 and not RT."
Et plus récemment, ceci :
"Yeah, it's been confusing to some already, we're fielding questions about this now and MS hasn't really made it clear on some of their Surface pages that Win RT won't support normal Windows apps. For us to go to RT, we'd have to rewrite the entire app from the ground up, and the requirements to get in the official store are quite restrictive from a design standpoint even.
It's all pretty early still, but I doubt many pro audio/video/graphics apps will be able to do it. Now a cut down version or utility may be a different thing all together..."
"Just as a word of caution, while we foresee no issues with Windows 8 and Finale 2012 based on some initial testing, we haven't certified any of our products with Windows 8 at this time. We typically announce compatibility within a few days of an OS release."
