Jari Williamsson annonce un nouveau plug-in de grande envergure : JW Meter and Rhythm (1.00).
Compatible avec Finale 2010 et versions suivantes, il permet de réaliser en quelques secondes des opérations complexes :
• Doubler, diviser par 2 les valeurs. Adaptation des valeurs de tempo affichées.
• Passer de 4/4 en 12/8 et vice-versa
• Calculer l'indication de mesure sur base des durées entrées
• Convertir les croches "swing" en leurs équivalents "notés" : triolets noire + croche, ou croche pointée + double
• Masquer les barres de mesure (fonction conçue pour la musique non mesurée, elle reprend les fonctions du plug-in JW Conceal Barlines)

Encore un plug-in très puissant, qui illustre la nouvelle approche de Jari : créer, plutôt que de multiples petits plug-ins, de gros plug-ins regroupant diverses fonctions, à l'image de son JW Change, qui en offre 150 !

"It's now 2 years since I started developing my Finale PDK Framework (which all my current plug-ins are based on). So I celebrate this by releasing a "new generation" plug-in, called JW Meter and Rhythm.
My plug-in development will in the future move more towards bunching similar tasks together in larger plug-ins, rather than to have lots of small plug-ins. Those of you familiar with the JW Change beta versions (which currently includes around 150 tasks) know the basic concept.

This new plug-in released today (JW Meter and Rhythm) introduces "setting panels" in the user interface, and many future plug-ins will be based on the same concept. If you have any thoughts about the user interface or the plug-in, please let me know!

JW Meter and Rhythm v1.00 includes these tasks:
* Transform meter (including metronome marks) to a larger/smaller meter
* Transform between triplet and compound meters (including metronome marks)
* Transform between compound and non-compound meters
* Create time signatures based on the contents
* Create cadenza measures/passages based on the contents
* Unhide the cadenza measure time sigs/barlines
* Create time signatures based on the contents, but keep the displayed time signature
* Expand/shrink the contents of the measure to cover the time signature
* Create or remove swing notation rhythms
* Create/sharpen/flatten/remove dotted rhythms

Nettoyage d'un bug lié aux petites notes et silences lors d'un changement d'indication de mesure.

"A quick v1.01 update to the just-released "JW Meter and Rhythm" plug-in. It fixes issues with grace notes and rests when going from one time signature to another."

Mise à jour en version 1.02.

Nettoyages + ajout d'une tâche "Rests" (Silences) sous "Rhythm Transformation", avec 4 options : "Transform According to Signature", "Replace All-rest Tuplets", "Split Compound Rests (to 2+1)", "Merge Adjacent Rests". Ces tâches peuvent s'appliquer à une portion de mesure.

"Version 1.02 of "JW Meter and Rhythm" is now available for download.
This update includes:

* Fixes error messages that aren't related to the current user settings (which could display after a settings change).

* A "Rests" task in the "Rhythm Transformation" container, which contains 4 different modes: "Transform According to Signature", "Replace All-rest Tuplets", "Split Compound Rests (to 2+1)", "Merge Adjacent Rests". (These tasks can all be used in partial measure selections as well.)"

"JW Meter & Rhythm" version 1.03 is now available for download from the tips site. New in this version:

* Fixes a bug where measures with whole note entries couldn't be doubled.
* "Rhythm Transformation/Rests->Merge Adjacent Rests" now prioritizes the time signature divisions.
* Changes to the transform rests according to time signature feature, which now have a "Allow Half Measure Rests" option.
* "Rhythm Transformation/Rests->Format Compound Rests" now replaces the old compound rest style. The new style has 3 separate fields to control the rest appearance in compound time signatures.

Petit nettoyage de l'interface relative aux silences (Rests).

"JW Meter and Rhythm" version 1.05 is now available for download. New in this update:
* Added a "Transform Compound Signature" mode to Rhythm transformation/Rests, which is a specialized compound measure rest formatter. (It will rebuild the rests in the measure, which "Format
Compound Rests" will not.)
* Added Windowshade support
* Fixed a file-specific bug in Rhythm Transformation->Rests->Transform According to Signature, where dotted eight note rests caused the note to get extremely short

Mise à jour en version 1.06.

Nouvelles fonctions pour "regrouper" des mesures, notamment pour créer une grande mesure qui est composée de la somme de plusieurs petites mesures.
Aussi un outil pour passer de 2/4 en 4/4 par ex., en préservant le contenu des mesures.

"New in this update are 2 new tasks in a new container called "Measure groups":
* Merge - Merges the selected measures into one big measure.
* Repeated Merge - Merges measures into group of _ measures across the selected area, while preserving the measure contents. If you for example want to rebar a 2/4 section into 4/4, this is a good choice."

Nettoyage de bug.

Version "JW Meter and Rhythm" version 1.07 is now available for download. It fixes a bug introduced by 1.06 related to compound meters. (In 1.06, "Create Compound Meter" and "Split Compound Meter" and all other cases where compound meters are used would give erratic results.)

Mise à jour en version 1.08.

Nouvelles fonctionnalités, entre autre la possibilité de fusionner ou de scinder des n-Olets adjacents et de contrôler les silences, en mode "fusion" pour cette version.

"JW Meter and Rhythm" version 1.08 is now available for download from the tips site. New in this update:

* Added Tuplets/Merge task, where adjacent tuplets can be merged (such as 2 triplets into 1 sixtuplet)
* Added Tuplets/Split task, where tuplets can be split.
* Added Tuplets/Rests task, where tuplets rests can be controlled. (Only contains a "merge" mode in this release.)
* Fixed a bug with the merge tasks in Measure Groups, where measures that are empty become hidden rests in the resulting measure
* Fixed a bug with the merge tasks in Measure Groups, where a slightly overlapping smartshape between merged regions could cause problems
* Memory leaks found and fixed.
