Jari Williamsson sort un nouveau "méga plug-in", multifonctions, JW Staff Polyphony.
Destiné à Finale 2010 et versions ultérieures, il remplace les plug-ins JW Merge Layers, JW Explode Layers, JW Quick Explode et JW Chord Manager, dont il effectue les tâches, et il en ajoute d'autres !
Lire le descriptif ci-dessous, qui décrit en détail les opérations applicables aux couches, portées et notes d'accord.
Ce plug-in regroupe et simplifie de nombreuses opérations.

"A new plug-in called "JW Staff Polyphony" is now available for download from the tips site. It's for Finale 2010 and later versions. This is a multi-purpose plug-in for tasks that are related to layers, chord lines and other kinds of music lines that appear throughout the score.

(This plug-in replaces the old plug-ins JW Merge Layers, JW Explode Layers, JW Quick Explode and JW Chord Manager. These plug-ins are now marked obsolete.)

Version 1.00 contains the following tasks:

LAYERS
Copy - Copies the contents from one source layer to another destination layer.
Move - Moves the contents from one source layer to another destination layer. Layer-assigned expression are moved to the destination layer.
Swap - Swaps the contents between two layers. Hidden layers can't be swapped. Layer-assigned expressions are also swapped.
Remove - Deletes the contents for the selected layers. Hidden layers are never removed. Layer-assigned expressions are also removed.
Merge - Merges note layers with identical durations.
Split - Splits notes in Layer 1 to multiple layers.
Expression Merge - Transforms identical layer-assigned expressions (if found for all used layers) into one expression for all layers.

STAVES
Merge - Merges contents from multiple staves to one staff (according to a couple of different notation styles).
Split - Distributes notes from chords on one staff to multiple staves.
From Layers - Distributes layers to individual one-layered staves.
To Layers - Merges one-layer staves into one staff with multiple layers.

CHORD LINES
Add - Adds lines of notes to chords or to single notes.
Delete - Deletes a note line from chords. At least 2 notes must be available prior to removal.
Drop - Drops a specific line one octave down.
Keep - Keeps a specific note line while removing the other chord notes.
Rotate - Rotates the chord by moving the top/bottom note an octave. A minimum of 2 notes is required for the chord to be rotated.
Transpose - Transposes a specific note line or the full chord.
Split Unisons - Splits unison intervals into octaves."

Correction d'un bug sérieux. Mise à jour donc hautement conseillée.

"JW Staff Polyphony" version 1.01 is now available for download. This update fixes the "Staves/Split" task, which erroneously forced the user to select multiple staves (which, in turn, erased staff contents that shouldn't be erased)."

Mise à jour en version 1.02.

"JW Staff Polyphony" version 1.02 is now available for download. New, changed and fixed in this update:

* Fixed the broken "Layers in pitch order" option for the Staves/Merge task.
* Fixed: When "Staves/Merge" panel is displayed, the wrong "Duration mismatch action" is selected.
* For the "Layers/Move" task, added the option to only move the measures that doesn't have contents in the destination layer.
* "Staves/From Layers" now resets the stem directions for all staves.
* The user interface for "Staves/From Layers" has been changed. Only the source staff should now be selected (this makes it consistent in behavior with "Staves/Split")"

Mise à jour en version 1.03.

Quelques changements (précisions) de termes, et enlèvement des silences dans "Staves/Split" quand le résultat ne donne que des silences, et quand "Single Notes as Unisons" est désactivé.

JW Staff Polyphony 1.03 is now available for download. New in this update:
* When "Staves/Split" is used and results in measures with only rests (most notably when "Single Notes as Unisons" is OFF), all rests in such measures are now removed.
* "Staves/From Layers" changed to "Staves/Split from Layers"
* "Staves/To Layers" changed to "Staves/Merged to Layers"

Mise à jour en version 1.04.
Indispensable, car elle corrige des problèmes de pertes d'altérations et de liaisons dans certains processus de la tâche "Staff/Merge".

"JW Staff Polyphony" version 1.04 is now available for download, with 4 fixes for Staves/Merge:
* "Staves/Merge" bug fixed: when notes from other layers are merged, those accidentals weren't displayed (although playback is correct)
* "Staves/Merge" bug fixed: when notes from other layers are merged, the ties weren't copied
* "Staves/Merge" bug fixed: worked around a Finale bug related to accidentals on notes that start a tie
* "Staves/Merge" now respaces the music (if the option is set) for all the 3 "Duration Mismatch Action" options

En allant récupérer la version 1.04 j'ai vu que la version 1.05 était à disposition.

Merci. Décidément, notre homme ne chôme pas !
Concernant la mise à jour en version 1.05, il s'agit d'une "réparation d'une réparation", à savoir une correction qui rend opérationnelle une tâche qui doit corriger un bug concernant les altérations aux endroits de liaisons.

"JW Staff Polyphony" version 1.05 is now available. It contains an update to the 1.04 fix regarding workaround for the accidental/tie bug.
Now it should work... ;-)

La mise à jour en version 1.06 est essentiellement un nettoyage de quelques bugs.

"JW Staff Polyphony" version 1.06 is now available for download. It's a bug fix release and contain the following fixes:

* Fixed: "Layers/Copy", "Layers/Move" and "Staves/Merge to Layers" lost tuplets if the tuplet started with a rest.
* Fixed: "Staves/Merge" always respaced music, regardless of "Respace in necessary" setting.
* Memory leaks found and fixed.

Ajout d'une fonction qui permet la permutation des contenus de 2 portées ("Staves -> Swap"). Excellente nouvelle !
Ajout d'une fonction qui permet de conserver le contenu de certaines couches sélectionnées / Layers et d'enlever le contenu des autres ("Layers -> Keep").
Corrections diverses.

"JW Staff Polyphony" version 1.07 is now available for download from the tips site. New/fixed in this release:
* Staves/Swap feature: swap the contents of the top/bottom staff of the selection.
* Layers/Keep - Keep the selected layers and remove the contents in the other layers.
* Fixed a bug in Finale 2012 and below where Staves/Merge would not display all accidentals on notes with start ties. (Finale 2014 fixes this automatically.)
* Now makes sure that Staves/Split doesn't creates slurs that start/ends on rests (when the number of lines changes throughout the material).
* Now makes sure that Staves/Split deletes resulting character articulations on rests, except for font glyphs that probably belong to phrasing (such as fermatas)."
